Iceni

British tribe originating from the East Anglian counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. Adapted to Roman occupation quite readily. In 61 A.D however, when their king Prasutagus died, his wife was cruelly beaten and his daughter defiled by the Romans. The wife was named Boudicea. The after affects of her action can be read in the section on the Roman occupation.
